Thomas E. Ackerman

Thomas Edward Ackerman (* in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is an American cinematographer.

Life

Thomas E. Ackerman studied at the University of Iowa, where he already finished his first film courses. He then worked from 1968 for the documentary filmmaker Charles Guggenheim. After he performed his military service in the United States Air Force, he returned to the Guggenheim before he moved to Los Angeles in 1973. There he was able to gain a foothold thanks to the help of his Air Force comrades Mike Robe in film. The staged by Emmett Alston horror film rock night of horror Ackerman debuted in 1980 as a cameraman for a feature film. Since then, he was responsible for the camera from movies such as Beetlejuice, Jumanji and Scary Movie 4.
