Thomas Gifford

Thomas Eugene Gifford ( born May 16, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa, † October 31, 2000 ) was an American writer who is best known for his crime novels.

Gifford began his career as an author of detective novels. He obtained with the Vatican thriller Assassini, where he drew a very critical view of modern Catholic Church International fame. With " Gomorrah " was followed by a self-contained sequel. Above all, the American public he was known since the '70s as the author of Aquila. The extensively researched crime caused a stir because the author is developed the theory, the first U.S. President George Washington was a British collaborator in reality.

Gifford also published books under the pseudonyms Dana Clarins and Thomas Maxwell. He died in 2000 in his hometown of Dubuque cancer.
