Thomas McCarthy (actor)

Thomas " Tom" Joseph McCarthy ( born January 30, 1966 in New Jersey, United States) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director.


McCarthy visited the New Providence High School in New Providence, New Jersey, and Boston College and the Yale School of Drama. He has starred in numerous feature films and television productions. In 2003, his first film released with The Station Agent as a director, which he also wrote the screenplay himself. This film has won several movie awards, including BAFTA Award for Best Screenplay. Another film in which McCarthy was directed by its own screenplay, was published in 2007 under the title A Summer in New York - The Visitor. Also, this production has received several awards, such as the Satellite Award for Best Original Screenplay.
