Thurston Moore

Thurston Moore ( born July 25, 1958 in Coral Gables, Florida, USA) is an American guitarist and singer of the band Sonic Youth and Chelsea Light Moving.

In 1980 he became a member of Glenn Branca's ensemble, in which at that time already played Lee Ranaldo. There he first met the alternative guitar tunings, which is also a typical trademark of the guitar work of Sonic Youth should be later.
