Tim Armstrong (ice hockey)

Tim Armstrong ( born May 12, 1967 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1984 to 1991 among others for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League.

Career

Tim Armstrong began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto Marlboros, for which he was active from 1984 to 1987 in the Ontario Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1985 in the eleventh round when a total of 211 players from the Toronto Maple Leafs. For their farm team, the Newmarket Saints, he ran until 1990 mainly. Only in the 1988/89 season graduated from Armstrong eleven games in the National Hockey League for the Maple Leafs, in which he scored a goal. After he started the season 1990/91 at the Binghamton Rangers in the AHL, he was in five games for the VEU Feldkirch in Austria on the ice, where he at the age of 24 years finished his career.
