Tim Bozon

Timothé " Tim " Bozon (* 24 March 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA ) is a French ice hockey player who also has the American citizenship. Since 2011 he plays for the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League for the position of left winger. His father, Philippe was also a professional ice hockey player and is a member of the IIHF Hall of Fame.

Career

Tim Bozon was born in St. Louis, Missouri, where his father was at that time with the St. Louis Blues under contract. At the age of one year Tim Bozon but already moved with his family to Switzerland after his father had moved to the National League A. He grew up there, among other things in Lugano.

At 14, Tim Bozon joined the youth ranks of the Genève -Servette HC and played for the club in the U15 and U17 team. He then moved within the Swiss youth leagues to the Kloten Flyers, where he also completed his first jobs in the elite A- Juniors, and on to the junior team of HC Lugano.

In CHL Import Draft 2011 Bozon was drafted at # 27 out of the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Canadian Hockey League, which later, however, charges her rights to the Kamloops Blazers. Before the start of season 2011/12 Tim Bozon finally moved from Switzerland to North America, where he managed the jump immediately to the squad of the Blazers. In his rookie season in Kamloops, the Frenchman was with 71 scorer points in as many games the best newcomer of the team. His 36 hits also made ​​him the top scorer among all rookies of the WHL. In January 2012, Bozon was invited to CHL Top Prospects Game. In the NHL Entry Draft 2012 Tim Bozon was finally selected in the third round to 64th position overall by the Canadiens de Montréal. In the 2012/13 WHL season Bozon could significantly improve its performance once again and closed the regular season with 91 points from 69 games off and was among the top ten scorers in the league. In the Under-18 Junior World Cup 2011 Bozon scored six points scorer and won the bronze medal with the French selection in the second-class Division I.
