Tim Thomerson

Timothy Thomerson ( born April 8, 1946 in Coronado, California) is an American actor.

Life

Thomerson grew up in San Diego. There he met Brion James, with whom together served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Then he was at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego stage technician and went to New York City, where he lived with his then wife Frances Delgado and Brion James several years in the house of the famous acting teacher Stella Adler later. The three Californians were working as assistants eagle which they received free acting lessons. In his New York time Thomerson began to gain as a stand- up comedian awareness. In New York, he has performed in renowned stand -up clubs like The Bitter End and Catch a Rising Star, and after he had completed the mid-1970s his training with Stella Adler and had returned to California, he had regular appearances in Los Angeles at The Comedy Store and The Improv. From this period dates the anecdote Thomerson would have beaten the also -coming comedy -store colleagues Robin Williams because he had stolen his jokes; in reality it was but probably only to verbal confrontations.

Parallel to his involvement as a comedian had Thomerson first acting roles on television, so in 1975 in an episode of the series Mannix, 1976 in the pilot episode of Laverne & Shirley and Harry O, 1977 in group Quark, 1978 in Hawaii Five-O ( Hawaii Five- O) and Starsky & Hutch and 1979 in Mork & Mindy ( Mork & Mindy ). First tasks in movies followed; with Richard Pryor, he starred in the comedy Car Wash - The freaky Launderette (1976) and How's up? ( Which Way Is Up? ) ( 1977), and in 1978 gave him Robert Altman, who Thomerson had seen in one of his stand-up performances, a role in a marriage (A Wedding).

Since the early 1980s Thomerson is focused on his acting work and has appeared in numerous film and television roles. His fandom in probably the most popular role was that of the time-traveling cop Jack Deth in Charles Bands low-budget sci-fi movie Trancers (1985). Until 1994, forming four Trancers sequels, in which Thomerson also played the lead role. Other low-budget auteurs like Albert Pyun occupied Thomerson regularly. 2012 was Thomerson next Cerina Vincent in Steven R. Monroe's action thriller Monika front of the camera.
