Tim Veldt

Tim Veldt (born 14 February 1984 in Amstelveen ) is a Dutch racing cyclist.

Tim Veldt is a specialist for short-term events on the track. In the UCI Track World Championships 2005 in Los Angeles, he won the silver medal in the team sprint, together with Teun Mulder and Theo Bos. In 2008, the trio at the Olympic Games in Beijing and was ranked 5th launched In the Track World Championships 2009 in Pruszków Veldt was third in the Omnium.

2006 Veldt was twice European champion in 1000 -meter time trial, as in the Omnium. He also took first place twice in World Cup races in the team sprint, 2006 in Sydney and 2007 in Beijing, each with Mulder and Bos.

2005 Veldt was Dutch champion in keirin and both in 2005 as in 2006 in the 1000 -meter time trial. In both disciplines as well as in the sprint he also won multiple podium finishes in national competitions.

Tim Veldt is the son of racer Lau Veldt, World Cup bronze medalist in tandem race of 1978 and ten times Dutch champion on the track.
