Timo Kunert

Timo Kunert ( born March 12, 1987 in Gladbeck ) is a German football player.

Career

Clubs

The young players in 1999 moved from VfB Kirchhellen in the D- youth of FC Schalke 04 and went through there all the youth teams. His greatest success at club level, he celebrated in 2006 when he became German champion with Schalke's A-Juniors. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season Kunert received a professional contract with the Gelsenkirchen company. However, he was mostly used in the Oberliga team of Schalke. His first Bundesliga Match of Kunert April 7, 2007 against Borussia Mönchengladbach, when he came on in the 90th minute. In August 2007 he moved to Hamburg, where he signed a contract until 2009. However, he was there only used in the second team, which plays in the Regionalliga Nord. In the 2009/10 season Kunert moved to Sportfreunde Lotte in the Regionalliga West. After two seasons in Lotte Kunert moved to the 2011/12 season to the third division side Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, with which he descended as a table next to last in the Regionalliga West.

For the season 2012/13 he moved to Sportfreunde Lotte. Just one year later it went to local rivals VfL Osnabrück, where his old trainer Maik Walpurgis works.

National

Kunert completed three matches for the U18 selection of the DFB, 13 matches for the Under-19 and came to a use for the U20 team.

Kunert is both and is used primarily on the wing or centrally in front of the back four.
