Properties
Titanium (III ) fluoride reacts with water and readily hydrolyzes to form hydrofluoric acid. From 950 ° C it begins to titanium (IV) fluoride, titanium and disproportionation.
Use
Titanium (III ) fluoride can also be used for the preparation of catalysts based on silica.
