Tito Sarrocchi

Tito Sarrocchi ( born January 5, 1824 in Siena, † July 30, 1900 ibid ) was an Italian sculptor.

Life

Tito Sarrocchi was born on 5 January 1824, the son of Antonio and Rosa Sarrocchi Mancini and grew up in Siena. His birthplace is located in the present-day Via Tito Sarrocchi 3 in the third Terzo di Città city in the Contrada Tartuca ( turtle). At the age of fifteen, he moved to Florence to study there in the Accademia di belle arti di Firenze under Lorenzo Bartolini.
