Tochigi, Tochigi

Tochigi (Japanese栃 木 市, -shi ) is a city in Tochigi Prefecture in Japan. Despite its name, it is not the seat of the Präfekturalverwaltung.

History

The city was founded on April 1, 1937.

Since 2009, operates in Tochigi of car manufacturers Nissan, a factory, each 12,000 units of the models Nissan GT -R, Infiniti G35 and Infiniti G37 are assembled by a year.

Geography

Tochigi is located northwest of Oyama, southwest of Utsunomiya and east of Sano.
