Tomas Sinisalo

Tomas Sinisalo ( born January 15, 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 at the Herlev Hornets in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen under contract. His father Ilkka was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Tomas Sinisalo began his career as a hockey player at youth level by Jokerit Helsinki, for which he was active until 2002. In the following three years, the attacker ran out for the junior teams of the Espoo Blues from Finland, from Leksand IF from Sweden. The 2003/04 season he finished with the Green Bay Gamblers of the Junior League United States Hockey League. In the summer of 2005, his debut in the SM- liiga changed the links contactors to Jokerit Lappeenranta, for the first team he in the season 2005/ 06 was, where he scored one goal in ten games. Also in this season, he ran for his former club and SaiPas League rivals Espoo Blues, and the Finnish U20 national team, the HC Salamat and Kiekko -Vantaa in Mestis on second-rate.

The 2006/07 season began Sinisalo at the Espoo Blues, but also played for the first division KalPa Kuopio and again the HC Salamt in the Mestis. The season ended the winger but at the Malmö Redhawks in the Swedish Elitserien, with whom he missed the league. Instead with the team to go into the second-class HockeyAllsvenskan, he joined the TPS Turku of the SM- liiga at, for which he ran aground until 2009, two years as a regular player. For the 2009/10 season the Finn got a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, for already his father had played. In January 2011 he moved to Hvidovre Hockey League from the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen. For the 2011/12 season he moved within the league to the Herlev Hornets.

Internationally

For Sinisalo Finland took part in the U20 Junior World Cup in 2006, where he finished in third place with his team.
