Tomáš Slavík

Tomas Slavik ( born April 29, 1981 in Jilemnice ) is a Czech nordic combined.

Slavik began his international career in 2001 in the B- Nordic Combined World Cup. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme, he reached in Gundersen the 40th and 34th in the sprint. On 14 February 2004 he gave his debut in Oberstdorf in the Nordic Combined World Cup. A day later, he reached the sprint competition with 24 first place points finish. In the Winter Universiade in 2005 in Innsbruck / Seefeld him a seventh and a fourth place in the sprint succeeded in Gundersen. In the same year he started again at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf. He was its performance in comparison to 2003, while increasing, reached in spite of this, however front places. At the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 he succeeded in Gundersen the 37th place in the sprint at the 27th place and together with Ladislav Rygl, Pavel Churavý and Ales Vodsedalek in the team competition of the 8th Place. In the Czech Republic Championships 2007, he won gold in singles and silver in the sprint. In the Winter Universiade in 2007 in Pragelato, he won gold in the Gundersen and bronze in the sprint. A month later he started again at Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo, but failed to reach top places again. In the World Cup he was able to achieve several point gains in sprint and finished the season 2006/ 07 on the 21st place in the World Cup sprint standings. A year later he succeeded in Gundersen increased the jump in the points. The 2007/08 season he finished at the end on the 26th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, he was again unsuccessful. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached in the individual on the normal hill on 20th Place and in the individual on the large hill in 25th place. In team competition, he reached the 8th place together with Miroslav Dvořák, Pavel Churavý and Ales Vodsedalek.
