Tomaz Druml
Tomaž Druml ( born March 28, 1988 in Feistritz an der Gail ) is an Austrian Nordic combined.
Career
Druml began his international career in 2003 at junior competitions. On 29 January 2005 he was in Klingenthal his debut in B- World Cup Nordic Combined. He reached the points right away. At the Junior World Cup in 2006 in Kranj he won the silver medal with the team in the team competition. In Gundersen single he missed the fourth place the medal ranks just barely. On 2 September 2006, he won the FIS race in Winterberg. In December, he then also get first victories in the B World Cup. Then he gave on January 20, 2007 in Seefeld his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. In the sprint race he reached the 12th place immediately a top ranking. When shortly thereafter taking place Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio, he won the gold medal with the team. In the sprint, he was fifth and Gundersen as well as in 2006 in fourth. As of December 2007 Druml started again in B- World Cup. After he came there again on the podium, he started in the meantime again in the World Cup. At the Junior World Championship 2008 in Zakopane, he won the gold medal and the Gundersen as well as a team silver medal in the sprint. In the World Cup he then usually enter in the points standings. His best result was a ninth place in Chaux -Neuve in January 2009. Druml started from February 2009 in the Continental Cup. In parallel, he also started on the World Cup and achieved his best result of the season with the 29th place in the overall World Cup there. In Continental him reach among others in Lake Placid, iron ore, Harrachov and Kranj wins, so that in the end he finished the season 2009/10 on the first place. The following season he reached the podium at several times, but he only reached the 5th place in the overall standings. After participating in the Grand Prix 2011, he took subsequently in the season 2011/ 12 and 2012/13, mainly in competitions in the world cup part.
Druml lives in Feistritz an der Gail ( Bistrica na Zilji ) and starts for the SV Achomitz ( ŠD Zahomec ).
