Tomoyuki Tanaka

Tomoyuki Tanaka (Japanese田中 友 幸, Tanaka Tomoyuki; born April 26, 1910 in Kashiwara, † 2 April 1997 in Tokyo ) was a Japanese producer who became known for his Godzilla movies.

Shortly after the completion of Kansai University in 1940, Tanaka joined the Toho Studios. After four years with the company he started making his own films. In his 60 - year career at Toho Tanaka produced more than 200 films. Besides Ishiro Honda, Shigeru Kayama and Eiji Tsuburaya, he is considered one of the creators of Godzilla. This Tanaka tied to the Japanese fear of terrorism after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he was trying to illustrate.
