Ton Lokhoff

Anthony ( "tone" ) Johannes Jacobus Lokhoff ( born December 25, 1959 in Breda, North Brabant ) is a former Dutch football player and current football coach.

Career

Lokhoff, Mister NAC as he was called, the fans, his playing career began at NAC Breda where he played a total of nine years, and ended his career in 1996. In between he played for PSV Eindhoven, Olympique Nimes and Feyenoord Rotterdam. During the period in Eindhoven he could even run up three games for the Oranje, but did not score.

After his active football career Lokhoff 1997 assistant coach of NAC Breda and seven years later head coach. In 2006 he inherited Mario Been as manager of Excelsior Rotterdam, which succeeded the previous season promotion to the Eredivisie. After two seasons of excellence he dismounted with Excelsior and missed the comeback with 5th place clear. After his contract was not renewed in Rotterdam, he took over the position on 10 September 2009 as an assistant coach at FC Red Bull Salzburg, as Markus Schupp was appointed head coach at Karlsruhe. 26 February 2011 Lokhoff was allowed for the first time represented his diseased head coach Huub Stevens. The debut in the Austrian Bundesliga, however, went wrong, because the FC Red Bull Salzburg was beaten while at SC Magna Wiener Neustadt 0:1. In April 2011, Huub Stevens and sound Lokhoff were replaced as coach and assistant coach Ricardo Moniz and Niko Kovac. In December 2011, the VVV -Venlo Lokhoff committed as head coach. He replaced at the border city dwellers, who had resigned Glen De Boeck. On June 7, 2013 Venlo announced the immediate separation. Lokhoff assisted from the beginning of the 2013/14 season Huub Stevens at PAOK Salonika. On March 3, 2014 he was released along with his head coach of his duties in Thessaloniki. A week later Lokhoff, together with Armin Reutershahn at VfB Stuttgart again assistant coach Huub Stevens.
