Tony DiTerlizzi

Tony DiTerlizzi ( born September 6, 1969) is an American illustrator and writer. He is best known for his collaboration with Holly Black at the fantasy series The Spiderwick Chronicles (English original title " The Spiderwick Chronicles "). He has worked as an illustrator of children's books, materials for pen & paper role-playing games and fantasy books.

Life

He attended the Florida School of the Arts, where he studied graphic design. In 1992, he made ​​it his degree at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He then worked for the company Tactical Studies Rules ( TSR) at the Pen -and- paper role- playing game Dungeons & Dragons. His illustrations in the Planescape Campaign Setting apply, in addition to the concept art by Dana Knutson, as being essential for the Planescape scenario. So setting was praised the graphic design of books, among other things on Planesape Campaign, won the Origins Award for best graphic featuring a role playing game for the DiTerlizzi with his colleagues in 1994. He now lives with his wife Angela and daughter as a freelance writer, illustrator and filmmaker in western Massachusetts.
