Too Much Texas is an English band from Manchester.

Band History

Too Much Texas was founded in 1985 in Manchester by Tom Hingley (vocals and guitar) and his school friends Gordon MacKay ( lead guitar ) and Raymond Breckon ( bass). The drummer changed several times in the history of the band. The first release, the Flexi - Disc Fixed Link, appeared in 1986., You stood at the fanzine " Debris " and was played by John Peel on his show on the BBC. In the fall of 1988, the Single Hurry On Down came with three titles on the market and was again played by John Peel, who subsequently invited the band to a radio session. 1989 Tom Hingley left the band and got in the Inspiral Carpets. Too Much Texas published nor single smart and broke up in 1992. In 2006 she found herself in the old line back together and with Pete Marshall on drums, they went in the spring of 2006 in England on tour and released the CD juvenilia.

Tom Hingley sings next to the Inspiral Carpets also in the band The Lovers. The Lovers two former members of the British cult band, The play case, Steve Hanley on bass and his younger brother Paul Hanley on drums.
