Geography

The region is located southeast of the state about 100 km west of the capital Brisbane.

The administrative headquarters of the LGA is located in the city of Toowoomba with about 99 500 inhabitants. History

Today's Toowoomba Region was founded in 2008 from the City of Toowoomba and the seven Shires Cambooya, Clifton, Crow's Nest, Jondaryan, Millmerran, Pittsworth and Rosalie.

Management

The Toowoomba Regional Council has eleven members. The Mayor ( Mayor ) and ten other Councillor to be elected by all residents of the region. The LGA is not divided into electoral districts.
