Top End

The Top End covers the northern part of Australia's Northern Territory (NT ) above the Daly Waters and covers an area of about 400,000 square kilometers, or one-third of the total area of the Northern Territory. The Top End includes most communities in the Northern Territory and the cities of Darwin, Katherine, Pine Creek, Palmerston, Jabiru and Mataranka. The Top End is situated on the second-most northern territory of Australia on the Cape York Peninsula.

National Parks

The majority of the Top End consists of the Arnhem Land as well as from the adjacent to the Arnhem Land Kakadu National Park. Other national parks within the Top End include the Nitmiluk National Park (formerly Katherine Gorge National Park ) and the Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park.
