Tordillo Partido

Tordillo [ toɾ.ð̞i.ʒo ] is a Partido in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. The Partido had in the census 2001 1.742 inhabitants, of whom 913 men - in 2010 estimated the INDEC, the population of the Partidos to 1.975. With a surface of 1,330 km ² Tordillo consequently it is one of the most sparsely populated Partidos the province as well as the one with the smallest population. The number of households is 487

History

Before the arrival of the Jesuits in this area around 1740 the people of Het dominated this region, first stable European settlements developed around 1814. The Partido was created in 1839 by decree of the Governor Juan Manuel de Rosas by separation from the Partido Dolores. 1865 its territory was reduced Founded in 1876, only the main town General Conesa.
