Tore André Flo

Tore André Flo ( born June 15, 1973 in Stryn, Norway ) is a former Norwegian football player.

Flo began his career with his hometown club in Stryn in the amateur field. In 1993 he moved to Sogndal IL, where he played with his brothers Jostein Flo and Jarle and his cousin Håvard Flo. As Sogndal from the Tippeligaen descent, Tore Andre Flo moved to Tromsø IL.

In Tromso Flo spent a very successful time when he was top scorer with 18 goals the first Norwegian league in 1995. Because of its good services, he was appointed the first time in the Norwegian national football team in the same year and made his debut in a match against England.

Flo Then moved in January 1996 to League rival Brann Bergen, where he scored 28 goals. During this time, Flo has matured to one of the best strikers of his country and was also in the national team a fixed size. In accordance with the Brazilian star Ronaldo, he received the nickname " Flonaldo ". Particularly impressive was the 4-2 win in Norway in a friendly match against Brazil.

In January 1998, Flo moved for the relatively meager transfer fee of £ 300,000 to England to Chelsea. There he convinced many skeptics and scored 50 goals in 163 competitive games for the London club. Among the coaches Gianluca Vialli and Claudio Ranieri, he found himself increasingly on the bench again, which led him to a change in the highest Scottish league. In 2000 he moved to twelve million pounds to the Rangers, making him the most expensive by then Norwegian player ever. In Glasgow, however, he was able to come in his first game against city rivals Celtic Glasgow, the Rangers won 5-1, then rarely convince again. Flo Then moved to Sunderland where he could meet again in the first game, but the club left after its relegation after one season.

2003, therefore, he signed a two -year contract with AC Siena, for whom he scored twelve goals in 63 league games. In 2004 he ended his active career in the Norwegian national team, for whom he scored 23 goals in 76 games between 1995 and 2004. Since his family's southern climate did not like, he decided in 2005 to a change back home to Norway for Vålerenga IF.

In January 2007 he moved to Leeds United. His salary at Leeds United took over the band Kaiser Chiefs. In March 2008, he ended his professional career.

On 21 November 2008, the Milton Keynes Dons announced the commitment of Flo. The transfer was threaded from Milton Keynes manager Roberto Di Matteo, who played together with Flo at Chelsea. After the 2008/ 09 season, his contract was terminated prematurely at the MK Dons after he had stayed in 13 games without scoring.
