Gianluca Vialli

Gianluca Vialli ( born July 9, 1964 in Cremona, Italy ) is an Italian former football player and coach.

Career

Association

In his youth he played for his hometown club U.S. Cremonese, which he led in the B series. Here other clubs were aware of him and came to his obligation by Sampdoria.

With Sampdoria, he formed with his longtime friend Roberto Mancini a feared strike partnership. With Sampdoria, he was in 1990 European Cup Winners Cup Winners' Cup and won the 1990/91 the only Italian championship in club history. In addition, he stood with Sampdoria in another two European Cup finals (1989 in the European Cup winners and 1992 in the Champions League), but these lost each against FC Barcelona.

In 1992 he finally moved to Juventus, where he was to celebrate other national and international success. Especially in 1994, he sat down with a new look ( bald ) in association with, as well as the new coach, Marcello Lippi, standing behind him. He quickly became the leader of the successful squad and its captain. For players such as Alessandro Del Piero, he was the leading figure and role model. So he reached in 1993 and 1995, the UEFA Cup finals and won the first with Turin against Borussia Dortmund as he was defeated by the AC Parma during the second time. Finally, followed in 1996 by winning the Champions League against Ajax Amsterdam the coronation. Vialli is one of the few players who have won all three European Cups ( and Others still Marco Tardelli, Gaetano Scirea, Vitor Baia, Danny Blind, Sonny Silooy, Sergio Brio and Antonio Cabrini ).

A year later he moved to Chelsea to England, where in 1998 he again the European Cup Winners' Cup as player-coach won (1-0 against VfB Stuttgart ), his brilliant career as a player then ended and worked after his active career as a coach.

Gianluca Vialli took seven European Cup finals in part: He stood in 1989 and 1990 with Sampdoria in Europapokafinale Cup Winners 'Cup and 1992 final of the European Champions' Cup with Juventus in 1993 and 1995 in the UEFA Cup final and 1996 final of the Champions League, and finally with Chelsea again in the 1998 final of the European Cup Winners' Cup.

National

Gianluca Vialli played 59 times for the Italian national team, scoring 16 goals. He participated in the World Championships 1986 and 1990, and at the 1988 European Championship.
