1986–87 Serie A

The Serie A 1986/87 was the 54th season of the Italian Football League Serie A. It started the season on 14 September 1986. Ascoli Calcio As climbers, Brescia Calcio and FC Empoli came from Serie B to do so. The season as champion finished Napoli and thus became the successor to Juventus. The qualification for the European Cup of Champions managed Napoli. For the UEFA Cup, Juventus, Inter Milan and Hellas Verona qualified, AC Milan and Sampdoria played from a fourth UEFA Cup hopefuls, with Milan prevailed 1-0 up. About the Coppa Italia to Atalanta secured the participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year. Relegated to the B series had to Brescia, Bergamo and Udinese Calcio. Udine started also with a score of -9 in the season.
