1980–81 Serie A

The Serie A in 1980/81 was the 48th season of the Italian Serie A. began the season on 14 September 1980. Promoted as Como Calcio, AC Pistoiese and Brescia Calcio Serie B came from it. The season as champion finished the Juventus and thus became the successor to Inter Milan. The qualification for the European Cup of Champions managed Juventus. For the UEFA Cup, the SSC Napoli and Inter Milan qualified. About the Coppa Italia, the AS Roma secured the participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year. Relegated to the B series had to Brescia, AC Perugia and Pistoiese. FC Bologna, Perugia and U.S. Avellino started with -5 points in the season as a result of the bribery scandal of 1980
