Had Bjarmann early 90s yet formed a successful Manndeckerduo with Sweden Schiller, he was converted into a libero from 1994, which he became one of the strongest defender in the Tippeligaen. After two outstanding seasons in 1999 and 2000, where he was also elected to the team of the season, then a transfer abroad was underway.

As an absolute desire player coach Marinko Koljanin who wanted him as a replacement for the Grazer AK migrated defensive leader Željko Milinović, stood the LASK in a row in the favorite position for a commitment, but the transfer fee could not afford due to the tight financial club situation. In order to get the player but still they agreed with Lillestrøm then to a change on loan with option to buy after the end of the Norwegian season in October.

Due to an injury he came then from October to February in 2001 in only three league games for use where he could score a goal before the loan contract expired again. The association, in the new year due to the "Rieger affair" just before the bankruptcy, then had to drive a drastic austerity measures, and could not pull the purchase option. Bjarmann then went back to LSK, the LASK undertook his countryman Kjetil Pedersen significantly cheaper than replacement.
