Toros Neza#Return of Neza

Atlante de la Universidad Tecnológico de Neza shortly Atlante UTN or also called Potros Neza, is a Mexican football club from the city of Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, which borders to the east with Mexico City.

History

First stage

After the end of season 1987/88 of 1978 in the first division of Mexico playing Deportivo Neza had sold his eligibility to play in the UAT Correcaminos, the city Nezahualcóyotl stood there without professional football club. Immediately, therefore, the foundation of a new association with the name Potros Neza. The club started in place of the previous second division Correcaminos UAT in the second division and immediately won the championship, which he had qualified for the first athletic league. However, immediately after the rise of the Erstligalizenz to the CD Veracruz was sold, so that the association of the port city of his place in the Primera División and took the Potros after only one year again disappeared from the football map of Mexico.

Second stage

The revival of the association took place before the 2004/05 season under the name Atlante Potros Neza. The CF Atlante, who had always enjoyed hospitality at one of the big clubs from Mexico City to date and therefore sometimes played at the Azteca stadium of Club América and times at the Estadio Azul CD Cruz Azul had the majority of its home games in the previous two seasons of the Primera División 86 held in the local Estadio Neza. After his retirement in the neighboring capital early in the season 2004/ 05 he wanted to compensate his remaining fans in the satellite town obviously on the way that he had run a B team in the then second-rate La Liga 'A', which received the above name and its home games played in the abandoned stadium in Nezahualcóyotl. The adventure ended again after just one season because the second division license was sold to the end of the season Tampico - Madero FC.

Third stage

In the summer of 2008, was already home to as Atlante in Cancun, a new farm team was led by its owner, Grupo Pegaso, created as a foundation for the Erstligamannschaft. This new team started in the 2008/ 09 season under the name Potros Chetumal in La Liga 'A'. End of the season, Grupo Pegaso transferred the team from Chetumal to Nezahualcóyotl, where she played in the seasons 2009 /10 and 2010/11 under the name Potros Neza or Atlante UTN in the newly created Liga de Ascenso.
