Tove Maës

Tove Rønnenkamp Maës ( born April 30, 1921 in Copenhagen, † 31 December 2010 Gentofte ) was a Danish actress.

Life

Tove Maës was the daughter of a notary. Her acting career began in 1942 at Odense Teater, where she debuted as "Ellen" in Gustav Wied Skærmydsler on October 23. The ensemble, she was a member until 1944. From 1944 to 1946 she attended acting school of the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen.

The breakthrough came in 1948 her role as " Laura" in The Glass Menagerie. From 1963 to 1966 she appeared at Aarhus Teater. She also took roles on other stages as well as the Det Danske Teater touring theater. She starred in over 40 movies and television films and appeared in revues and cabarets.

With the Bodilpreis, named after the actresses Bodil Ipsen Bodil Kjer and she was awarded three times, in 1954 for her role in Himlen he blå 1971 for best female lead role in nat med fru Det he Knudsen and 1984 for Felix.

From 1942 to 1948 she was with the actor, director and screenwriter Carl Ottosen ( 1918-1972 ) married. 1953 she married Jesper Gottschalck, with whom she had a son.
