Traian Iordache

Traian Iordache ( born October 10, 1911 in Bucharest; † 3 April 1999) was a Romanian football player and coach. As a striker, he played 93 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and was top scorer in the 1936 season / 37.

Career as a player

The career of Iordache began in the season 1936/37, when he was playing for Unirea Tricolor Bucharest together with Ştefan Dobay scorer of the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A. When the club after the following season had to join the in the Divizia B, Iordache moved to local rivals Venus Bucharest, one of the most successful clubs of the 1930s.

With Venus in 1939 and 1940 he was able to win the Romanian championship in years, but lost in the cup final 1940 Rapid Bucharest in the third replay. Iordache remained Venus during the Second World War, when the game operation had to be interrupted faithful. After the war he moved to Carmen Bucharest, where he finished his career in 1946.

National

Although Iordache was one of the most successful goalscorers of Divizia A, he came into the Romanian national team hardly to the course, so that he came only to three inserts. He had his debut on May 8, 1938 against Yugoslavia. It was followed by two more matches in 1942.

Career as a coach

Iordache initially looked StiinTa Iasi and in the season 1962/63 CSMS Iaşi as a coach in Divizia A.
