Unirea Tricolor București

Unirea Tricolor Bucharest was a Romanian football club from Bucharest and a predecessor club of Dinamo Bucharest. It was a time Romanian champions.

History

Unirea Tricolor Bucharest was founded in 1926 from the merger of the clubs FC Unirea Tricolor Bucharest and CS Bucharest. President and owner of the club was Nicolae Lucescu. With one exception, in the season 1938/39, Unirea Tricolor was continuously Divizia A after the founding of the Romanian Professional Football League in 1932 until the interruption of league operations during the Second World War on.

After the takeover by the Communists in 1947 and available to join a trade union or a public institution, Unirea Tricolor was taken over by the Home Office. On May 14, 1948 Unirea Tricolor forcibly Ciocanul Bucharest (formerly Maccabi Bucharest ) was merged to Dinamo Bucharest. The club played the season as " Dinamo B ( Unirea Tricolor ) " to the end and put up at the Divizia B.

In 1950, " Dinamo B ( Unirea Tricolor )" was delegated to Brasov and played from now on as Dinamo Brasov. After a season in Cluj- Napoca in the season 1957/58 the team moved to Bacau and plays since then as Dinamo Bacau.

In 2005, the Romanian businessman Marian Paraschiv a new club founded together with his brother Mircea Paraschiv, a former referee in the Bucharest district Bucurestii Noi under the name Unirea Tricolor Bucharest. A collaboration with Dinamo Bucharest failed for financial reasons. The club plays in League IV and plays its home games in the stadium from Laromet.
