Třebětice (Jindřichův Hradec District)

Třebětice ( German Triebetitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Jehnice and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec. The community has about 300 inhabitants.

Geography

The Moravian village Třebětice lies in the valley of Třebětický creek to the south of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. West of the 607 m high rises Třebětický vrch.

Neighboring towns are Manešovice in the north, Louka in the east, Podolí Jehnice the southeast, Palovice in the south, Ostojkovice the southwest, Chlumec in the west and Borek and Dobrohošť in the northwest.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1356 in connection with Rudolf and Smil of Třebětice. Owner of the village were several regional gentry and 1375 it received Jobst of Moravia. In the 15th century came Třebětice to the Lords of mayors. Following the sale by the brothers Hynko and Ulrich of the village mayors 1481 came including the deserts Court Manšov to the possessions of the lords of Zwole and Goldstein. 1542 bought Václav Chroustovský of Malovary the festivals Třebětice with the associated villages Třebětice, Vesce, Újezd ​​Lesonice and part of Loukovice.
