Trebgast (Weißer Main)

BW

The Trebgast ( with Furtenbach ) is a nearly 16 -kilometer-long southern and left tributary of the White River Main.

Course

The Trebgast arises from the confluence of Furtenbach and Flußgraben at Bindlach Stöckig. Some see Furtenbach only as a by- name of Trebgast. It flows in a northwesterly direction, their main flow direction, which it retains to the mouth mainly. In Bindlach -Heiner reason, it is fed by the next of Bremer left Mühlbach. South of Harsdorf their flows to the Schaitzer creek and a little further north from the right Haselbach from the left. At the height of Harsdorf, where it flows past the left, lies the Harsdorfer pond. There the Schlitt Erbach opens into the Trebgast. South of the small Trebgastsees it is amplified by the left and right of the Kessler Bach Weissbach. On the southern edge of the village of Trebgast their flows to the trout stream. Then it flows into the White Main.

The Trebgast has not created their wide valley itself. Here once flowed the more water leading Ursteinach. Its upper reaches, the heat Steinach, opens today in Bayreuth Laineck in the Red Main.
