Tshuapa District
Tshuapa is since 1966 a district of the Equateur province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. According to the program announced in 2005 and 2011 administrative reform canceled Tshuapa should be charged to the province. Capital Tshuapas is Boende ( 33 765 inhabitants in 2010 ). The population of the entire district was 859 569 inhabitants in 2004.
Geography
Location
Tshuapa located in the northern center of the country. It is bordered to the north by the district Mongala, on the east by the district Tshopo, on the southeast by the district Sankuru, to the south by the province of Kasai - Occidental, on the southwest by the province of Bandundu and to the northwest by the district of Equateur.
Territories
The district consists of six territories, all of which are named after the respective principal places:
- Befale
- Boende
- Bokungo
- Djolu
- Ikela
- Monkoto
