Tünde Vaszi

Tunde Vaszi [ tyndɛ vɒsi ] ( born April 18, 1972 in Piscolt, Romania ) is a former Hungarian Long Jump.

Since the mid- 1990s, they reached almost every grand finale. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, she was also ninth as the World Indoor Championships in Paris in 1997.

This was followed by a fourth place at the European Championships in Budapest in 1998, a fifth at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi in 1999 and an eighth at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. At the World Championships in 1997 in Athens and 1999 in Seville she left in qualifying.

In 2001 she came with her personal best of 6.86 meters at the World Championships in Edmonton to fourth place, narrowly missing the bronze medal by only two centimeters over Niurka Montalvo (ESP).

The following year, she won the European Championships in Munich, the bronze medal with 6.73 meters, at the same distance of the runner-up Jade Johnson ( GBR).

At the 2003 World Championships in Paris -Saint -Denis, they finished sixth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens Eighth, at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki Tenth and at the European Championships 2006 in Gothenburg ninth.
