Tuomas Ketola

Tuomas Ketola ( born February 21, 1975 in Turku ) is a Finnish former tennis player.

Career

Ketola won on the second-rate Challenger Tour during his career 16 titles, including five in the singles and eleven more in doubles with various partners. On the ATP tour level it reached in 1998 in Hong Kong, the finals of the doubles competition. However, on the side of Neville Godwin he was defeated Byron Black and Alex O'Brien clearly with 5:7, 1:6. At Grand Slam tournaments by reaching the second round at the U.S. Open 2004, he achieved his best result in singles. In doubles, he reached the second round in 1998 and 2005, both at the French Open in 1998 and at Wimbledon.

From 1993 to 2007 played for the Finnish Ketola Davis Cup team. He won 16 of 38 individual lots and lots of twelve half of its 24 double batches. This Ketola can have the most double victory for the Finnish team today. With 31 matches contested within 15 seasons, he is also a Finnish record player.
