Tupolev Tu-110

The Tupolev Tu -110 (Russian Туполев Ту -110, NATO reporting name: " Cooker " ) was a Soviet airliner and a further development of the Tupolev Tu -104 with four AL -7P engines and a range of 3,300 km.

The aim was from the Tu- 104A to develop a more economical aircraft with greater range. The fuselage was lengthened by 1.21 m, lifted the passenger compartment floor to 140 mm and the cargo compartment floor lowered to 210 mm, which had a magnification of the latter by 28 m³ result. As per two wing engines were mounted side by side, the span increased by a total of 2.40 m. Other changes were enlarged flaps and the incorporation of airbrakes under the engines. The first flight took place in 1957 by D. Sjusin. The Tu -110 was not in series, as the hoped-for improvements in contrast to the Tu -104 were only slightly, even the engines were not working correctly. Thus, only three aircraft originated. The improvements to the hull you took over, however, for the Tu- 104B.
