Tupolev Tu-330

The Tupolev Tu -330 is the project of a medium transport aircraft of the Russian aircraft manufacturer Tupolev PSC.

The development was part of a government project. Date machines were used Antonov An-12 4,000 kilometers in Russia for transport purposes - on routes of 1,000. These are now obsolete and should be replaced.

The development of the Tu- 330 was driven rapidly, with essentially constructive details and developments from the passenger aircraft Tupolev Tu- 204 and Tupolev Tu -334 were used. The chassis consists of 6 individual suspensions with two bebremsten wheels. This should be possible for a flight operating on concrete slopes and on rough terrain. At the maximum load a runway of 2,200 m is required. With 20 tons of cargo, the range is specified as 5600 km. This cuts down on a payload of 30 tonnes to 3,000 km. So that a replacement for the outmoded At -12 and IL -76 is to be created.

Particular advantages especially the use of standard parts are called from the series of passenger aircraft by the manufacturer. In addition, the machine can be equipped with engines from Rolls- Royce and Pratt & Whitney.

The consumption of 140 g / t · km specified. This is the machine with the original engines compared to a Il -76 need only 50% of the fuel.

The Tu -330 is offered with different outfits. The following variants are specified by the manufacturer: tanker, hospital aircraft, aircraft monitoring for soil exploration (nature conservation, fisheries, Icewatch ), Government aircraft ( with lounge and transport boxes for cars), natural gas tankers.
