TuS Nettelstedt-Lübbecke

TuS N- Lübbecke is a German handball club from the city Luebbecke in North Rhine-Westphalia and is the result of the TuS Nettelstedt. The name change was made at the instigation of the main sponsor Paul Gauselmann. After descending from the 1st Handball Bundesliga in the 2007/ 08 season the team came in 2008 / 09, the direct re- ascent.

History

Even on the large field in the 1940s they played in the 2000 - person village in the then top division. 1970 saw the club nationwide sensation when Herbert Lübking, (now GWD Minden ) changed at that time head of the German national team, of Green-White Dankersen from the Bundesliga in the county league for TuS Nettelstedt. With Lübking and other prominent gains of the club marched through the leagues. In the final of the German field handball championship in 1975, the last championship game on the big field at all, TuS Nettelstedt subject to its own place in the TSG Haßloch just with 14:15. 1976 it was promoted to the Bundesliga. The TuS Nettelstedt is thus founding member of the single-track Handball - Bundesliga and was its first leader.

In 1981 the club won the DHB Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup. In 1983 got off to the second division; After eleven years, the club rose up again. 1997 and 1998, the TuS won the ( City Cup ), 1999 reached to the semi-finals of the competition. 2001, the club was relegated with high debt again from the second division. Under the name TuS N- Luebbecke succeeded the immediate resurgence, which joined the renewed descent. In the 2003 /04 season of TV Großwallstadt set a record as the club with 68:0 points completed in the second division season. On 17 March 2007, the TuS completed his 500th game in the Bundesliga single track and stopped after successful relegation round the class. 24 February 2008 When the team fell to the bottom of the table, coach Velimir Kljaić resigned; in its place took over Team Manager Zlatko feric as coach. For the first season home game of 2009/10 Kreissporthalle Luebbecke was rebuilt, since it is equipped with a VIP lounge (Mercury - Arena) and is home to a sports bar. On February 6, 2010, the TuS N- Luebbecke pulled by a 26:22 win away at the Bergische HC for the first time in a Final Four of the DHB Cup in Hamburg.
