Two Thumbs Up is a best-of album by Tab Two, which summarizes the hits of the previous eight albums on three CDs. It appeared in 2012 at 36music and contains 25 remastered songs and ten bonus tracks, including the new play The Patient.

History

The album Two Thumbs Up is a special feature, because Tab Two already twelve years previously separated in 2000. The new album was released as the band for some live performances newly formed.

Reception

Two Thumbs Up 2012 reached number 21 in the German Media Control Charts Jazz in June. The album was the beginning of May 2012 " CD of the Week " on WDR 3

In jazzthing.de states: The finds, as well as the well-known songs presented with their mix of smart inserted electronics, club tested rhythms, deliciously smart rap vocals and soft trumpet lines entertaining music freak appeal, which remained pleasingly timeless over the years, no, has become actually better. The album has already received before the appearance of unusual attention. An employee of Der Spiegel had offered a promo copy ten weeks before the publication date at the English branch of Amazon.com for sale. The band turned in an open letter to the editor, other newspapers and radio stations attacked the topic, and it has been out for two weeks discussions on the Internet. Finally, there was a public apology from the responsible editors.
