Ubaldo Righetti
Ubaldo Righetti (* March 1, 1963 in Sermoneta ) is a former Italian footballer who was active during his playing career for AS Roma, Udinese Calcio, U.S. Lecce and Pescara Calcio. In addition, he completed eight games for the Italian national football team.

Ubaldo Righetti began his career at a young age in the U.S. Latina and moved in 1980 to AS Roma, with whom he was in the 1980/81 season under head coach Nils Liedholm the Italian Cup competition, the Coppa Italia win. After he completed only a few games in the first two years, he played in the 1982/83 season twelve league games, and in the following year the defender received 21 bets in Serie A. In 1983 won Righetti with the Brussels residents his first Scudetto and won in the seasons 1983/84 and 1985/86 the Italian Cup competition. In the 1983/84 season the defender reached with the Roma also the entry into the final of the European Champions Cup after being defeated in four rounds IFK Gothenburg, CSKA Sofia, the BFC Dynamo and Dundee United.
The game against Liverpool ended after extra time in a 1-1 draw. In the final penalty shoot Ubaldo Righetti converted his penalty kick, on the side of the Romans, however, forgave Bruno Conti and Francesco Graziani their shot attempts, while the English only Steve Nicol failed and thus Liverpool could win the trophy. 1984 awarded him the journal Il Guerin Sportivo as the best young player in Europe with the Trofeo Bravo. In the summer of 1987, he spent one year at Udinese Calcio, where he was able to establish himself as a regular player. Nevertheless Righetti left a year later the club and joined the U.S. Lecce. Also in Lecce the defensive player always counted the root cadres and ran for two years for the club.
In July 1990, he decided to sign the second division club Pescara Calcio. With the Biancoazzurri he placed in his first season on the moderate 13th place in Serie B, followed a year later as the runner promotion to the top flight. After just one season in Serie A with the club he joined as a Table again. In the following years Pescara Righetti finished with moderate midfield ranks in Serie B and was successful in the league. In 1995 he ended his active career.
National
Righetti was appointed in 1982 by Azeglio Vicini the first time in the squad of the Italian U- 21 team, for whom he made his debut on 27 October 1982 in the match against Romania. The defender was appointed national coach Enzo Bearzot in November 1983 for the first time in the squad of the Italian national team. Here, in the game against Czechoslovakia he gave his debut on November 16, 1983, the Italians lost the game 2-0. Overall, he completed eight appearances for Italy, his last assignment on June 2, 1985 against Mexico ended in a 1-1 draw.
