The UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll was an online voting. It was led by UEFA as part of the celebration of her Golden Jubilee ( 50th anniversary ) in 2004. Here, the best European footballer of the last fifty years was selected on the homepage of the Association. About 150,000 people, more than seven million voted. Zinedine Zidane won the election just ahead of Franz Beckenbauer.
