UEFA Women's Euro 1993

The European Football Championship Women 1993 (English: UEFA Women 's Championship ) was the fifth playout of the European continental championship in women's soccer and took place from June 29 to July 4 in pure knockout system in Italy.

Norway won the final against host Italy 1-0 for the second time after 1987 European champions. Holders Germany finished only fourth.

The games of the final round of the European Championships were held in four stages in four different places in the northern Italian region of Emilia -Romagna.

Norway pulled a goal by Anne Nymark Andersen 63 minutes to the final. 1,000 fans watched the game in Sportilia. In the second semifinal Heidi Mohr Germany took 56 minutes with a 1-0 lead. Seven minutes later, Carolina Morace scored the equalizer. The game in Rimini saw 3,000 spectators.

3rd Place Match

Susan Mackensies the lead in the 10th minute leveled Maren Meinert after 31 minutes. Hanne Nissen ( 35 ), and again Mackenzie ( 42 minutes ) ensured the victory of the Danish team. Until the preliminary round match against Norway at the European Championships in 2013 this was the only defeat of a German team after regular time at the European Championships. The match was watched by 500 spectators.
