Uniq plc

Uniq (until 1999 Unigate ) was a formerly publicly traded British food company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of refrigerated and frozen foods, especially salads, desserts, sandwiches, wraps, dips, sauces, dressings and ready meals. The Uniq Group was formed in 1959 from the merger of United Dairies and Cow & Gate to Unigate. Uniq was one of the major suppliers of European supermarket chains (including Cadbury and Marks & Spencer ) and produced under its own brands and private labels. Headquarters of the company was Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, near London.

Sales of Uniq in 2007 was £ 736 million, of which £ 345 million in the United Kingdom, Northern Europe ( Germany, Netherlands, Poland ) 209 million pounds and 182 million pounds in France.
