United Nations Office in Burundi

BNUB is the content of reduced continuation of the Integrated Office of the United Nations Operation in Burundi (French Bureau Intégré des Nations Unies au Burundi, BINUB ), a United Nations mission (UN ) to strengthen the national capacity of the Burundian government to the consequences of the Burundian civil war to overcome. The turn was held at the United Nations Mission in Burundi ( ONUB ) in direct connection. BNUB was limited to 31 December 2011 but was extended for the third time. The mission is now to be continued until 31 December 2014.

The object of the BNUB is the

  • Support the development of national institutions;
  • Promotion of dialogue;
  • Combat safe havens
  • Promotion of human rights;
  • Ensure that the economic and financial policy takes into account the needs of vulnerable people and to promote the mobilization of resources from Burundi;
  • Support for regional integration.
