The Norwegian University of Agder ( in Norwegian called Universitetet i Agder, UiA ) was as a university Agder ( in Norwegian called Høgskolen i Agder) on 1 August 1994 founded. Since 1 September 2007, she carries the current designation. This makes it the seventh University of Norway. The University of Agder has around 11,000 students and 1,000 employees. Locations of the University are located in Kristiansand and Grimstad.

The University currently offers around 175 programs, including 35 master's programs and 13 PhD programs. By around 200 agreements with universities around the world on exchange programs for students and faculty, the University of Agder is an international network.

Faculties

The university has five faculties.
