The University of South Alabama (also known as USA ) is a state university in Mobile in the U.S. state of Alabama. It owns one of only two state-funded medical schools in Alabama. Currently, about 15,000 students are enrolled.
The University of South Alabama was created in 1963 as a replacement for the previously offered courses at the branch of the University of Alabama.
The sports teams of the United States are the Jaguars. The university is a member of the Sun Belt Conference.
