Our best years is a television series by Franz Geiger for ZDF. 1983-1985 created 12 episodes of 45 minutes that were sent in the early evening.
Also in this series played Helmut Fischer Munich suburban Casanova, a figure he previously convincingly embodied in Monaco Franze and later in the caretaker.
The title song "Give Me Your Love" was a huge hit in 1983 and was composed and interpreted by Frank Duval.

The seller Elfi Ortlieb always gets to the wrong men, until the young woman finally gets to know the independent master carpenter Raimund Sommer from the Munich suburb.
Only after violent quarrels to Elfis married ex-lover Herbert Dirscherl are beaten. Gradually even developed a friendship between Herbert and the newly minted couple Elfi and Raimund.
