Úsobrno

Úsobrno ( German Hausbrunn ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of Jevíčko and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Úsobrno extends to the northwest of Drahany country in the valley of the brook Úsobrnský creek. To the north rises the Proklest ( 544 m ) in the north- east, the Lavičná (625 m ) east of the Sýkorka (541 m) and Durana (626 m), in the southwest of the Lipina ( 589 m ) west of Perlov (508 m) and the Vrchhora (554 m).

Neighboring towns are Jaroměřice and Novy Dvur in the north, Chobyně and Šubířov in the northeast, Skřipov in the east, Brodek u KONICE and Nové Sady in the southeast, Horni Štěpánov and Pohora in the south, Mořicův Dvůr PRIVEST and Svetla in the southwest, Cetkovice and Uhřice in the west and Jevíčko in the northwest.

History

Úsobrno was the medieval trade route Hvozdecká stezka of Olomouc Litomyšl. The first written mention of the village was in 1073, when the court Úsobrno Vratislav II donated to the monastery Opatovice. It is believed that the place much older and his name is of Celtic origin. At the same time Úsobrno designated a district in the northwest of Drahany country, the center of the castle Úsobrno formed. In 1078 Margrave Otto I gave the Gau Úsobrno the monastery Hradisch. In a document of the Dowager Duchess Euphemia of Hungary of 1087 are the first time to find names of residents of the village. The first secure evidence of a tollbooth in Úsobrno date from the year 1145. Further evidence about the Gau Úsobrno and the toll are from the period 1228-1258. In 1240, a Lembert de Uzoburne was named as sovereign officials. After the city collecting Jevíčko in 1258 this took place of Úsobrno the function of Gauzentrums. King Vladislav Jagiello pledged in 1499 to the vicarage Knínice with the town Knínice and Svitávka and the villages Úsobrno, Svetla, Cetkovice, Šebetov, Uhřice, Korenec and Okrouhlá to his advisor Ladislav of Boskowitz. This built in Knínice a basic rule and joined her other villages. Later, the government got back to the monastery Hradisch. During the 16th century Šebetov was extended to the new seat of power and the Order was there as a residence built a big castle. In Úsobrno passed several iron hammers. After the abolition of patrimonial Úsobrno / Hausbrunn formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Moravian Třebová. In 1855 the congregation of the District Commission Jevíčko was assigned, which was canceled in 1868.
