Uspenskoye, Krasnodar Krai

Uspenskoe (Russian Успенское ) is a village ( selo ) in the Krasnodar region of Russia with a population of 12,409 (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The village is located about 190 km as the crow east-southeast of the administrative center of Krasnodar Region and about 30 km southeast of the city of Armavir, near the border with the neighboring Stavropol region. It is located in the Caucasus foothills on the left bank of the Kuban.

Uspenskoe is the administrative center of the Rajons Uspenski and the seat of the rural community Uspenskoe selskoje posselenije, which also includes the settlement Mitschurinski (10 km south-east ) and Weiler ( Chutor ) Belezki (7 km southeast), Lok ( 14 km southeast ), Podkowski (13 km south-southeast ), Ukrainski (5 km southwest) and Assumption (12 km south-southeast ) belong.

History
